The modern age is one of great contradiction and paradox. Even as we, humanity, stretch our scientific understanding of the world to the utmost limits of our ability to reason and measure the world, we are finding that the most important answers elude us. We can break matter down nearly to its primal mathematical basis but we still have no solutions to war, bigotry, poverty, and the myriad other demons that have troubled all living beings from the beginning.

Mystic Metaprogramming was founded in 2022, though it’s roots stretch far, far back into time. We are seeking to build a better future by constructing new mental tools that will guide people towards building that world. We believe that it isn’t enough to present reason and rationality as the be all and end all of human philosophy. Our atrophied souls hunger for spiritual food.

Thus we arrive at Mystic Metaprogramming, a path that combines spirit and science. Superstition underlies more of our digital age than anyone would care to admit. We are on the cusp of an era where “tech priests” will administer “rites” to their systems with less and less true understanding of what their work is actually doing. We are already thousands of years into the era where priests administer rites upon the human system with no true understanding of what they’re doing either. We need a new era, where conscientious operators measure out real solutions that can both heal our broken systems while nourishing our starving spirits.

Our founder and Chief Spiritual Officer resides in America’s most magical city, New Orleans. They are a computer programmer, philosopher, and spiritual practitioner of their own syncretic path. Through a diverse range of practices, they seek the primal unity at the heart of all things, and have learned to manifest the shades of that unity through divination and the sacred construction of digital forms.

Yitarot

My personal oracle system is a blend of the Yi Jing with an expanded tarot, which I call the Yitarot, or Deck of Changes. Each of the 64 hexagrams of the Yi Jing are paired to one card of the minor arcana, which now includes two additional face cards per suit. These two cards, the Lady and the Maiden, act as feminine counterparts to the male Knight and Page. The major arcana are a work in progress, and I’ve recently been incorporating the 33 Northumbrian Runes with them as well. Through this multipart system, I am able to cast a wide spiritual net when I go fishing for meaning.
